Our Mission Statement
Now in it’s Fourth Year Dance2Connect is Ireland’s first and only festival dedicated to Street Dance within the context of Contemporary Arts. We are committed to supporting professional and emerging dance artists who locate their practice at the intersection between Street Dance and Contemporary Dance Theatre.

The Civic | The Civic’s Mission is to mount an artistic and challenging programme of contemporary and classical Irish and international work in Theatre, Dance, Opera and Music for the community of South Dublin county and environs.
Tallaght Community Arts | We place participation at the heart of our work. This enables us to actively explore ideas of who can be involved in the making of art. We bring people together to explore their creativity. We believe that by putting each individual at the centre of the creative process we can challenge, inform and transform. We often work with people not well represented in our society. We commission new works and seed projects across South Dublin County opening up the transforming power of the arts to a diverse group of participants and audiences. As a participatory arts organisation we create work in the heart of communities; in schools, community gardens, football stadiums and individual people’s homes – as well as in designated arts spaces.
Dance Ireland | We put the dance artist at the centre of all that we do. We respond to the needs and ideas of the dance community and take the lead in advocating for and exemplifying the conditions and environment in which dance will thrive as a profession, a practice and a passion.
Every day in our studios, people explore new ways to express themselves through dance. We encourage and champion that spirit of inquiry which seeks to learn, to grow, to try something new. By doing so, we seek to build audiences for dance, inspire confident participation and progress professional practice.
In partnership with The Civic, Tallaght Community Arts and Dance Ireland, Dance2Connect is kindly funded by The Art’s Council’s Festival Investment Scheme
